Famous Quote Friday (Ralph Waldo Emerson)
“Do not go where the path may lead; go instead where there is no path and leave a trail”
– Ralph Waldo Emerson
I may not be popular now, I may not be intellectual enough for some, I have not mastered everything I am interested in, but I will in time be able to inspire everyone willing to listen. Not only will I leave a trail but I will leave directions on how to get where I am. I am not sitting on the achievements of the American dream, I am sitting on the adventure of the unmapped trail of my life. I have taken risk after risk, experienced failure after failure, but also lived through success after success; Ralph left us a trail through individualism, naturalism, and the freedom of your soul. Especially in this day in age, now we get wrapped up in what everyone else is doing and in where everyone else is going. It’s a fine line to realize if you are doing what society and social media have planned for you or if you are doing what you want. I am not rebellious of what people of this world have taught us toward our future I just realize there is so much more this world has to offer. If you are ready to live your life take a step sideways and create a brand new experience in your life. Take a risk outside of the safety of your regular life. Do something you have never done or something you never thought you would do this weekend and see what happens! Live your life on your own trail.

Famous Quote Friday (Bess Hardwick)
“The greatest gift is a passion for reading.”
– Elizabeth Hardwick
Elizabeth Hardwick, also known as Bess, was a writer as well as a writing teacher was certainly not shy to the benefits of reading. She was also a critic to American literacy. We all should be grateful to have the resources to read and we all should be grateful for the ability to read. With the ability and resource to read the greatest gift is the passion for it. What Bess realizes is all of us have this passion. We are gifted with the desire to want to read. You take for granted the amount you read every day. We are always reading everywhere but your true passion for reading is inside a book, magazine, or even a blog. When you role past a paragraph and you want to know more that is your passionate side talking to you. You cannot wait for the next chapter or the next month issue, that is passion. Passion is all positivism, you find something you love and you want more. When you read you learn, that is what makes it such a great gift. Not only do you have that passion for reading you have the passion to learn more. We are all reading all the time, don’t you owe it to yourself to find reading material that will inspire you? Gift yourself this weekend and go to the library to find your passion.
I love all of you.
Read and Watch
Everyone reading this knows full well the impact that reading has on our lives. It changes your level of knowledge, your level of creativity and changes your life. What you choose to read is a big reflection on your life. If you choose to read The Onion or The National Inquirer where do you think your life is going? It is going into a world of negativity where you really don’t have big plans to amount to anything in your life. Now, if you read something like Discover or Success magazine, you seek inspiration and fuel to achieve in your own creative goals. Read to be inspired, there are many paths reading can take you: You can read to promote your spiritual path, you can read to increase your knowledge on select subjects or you can read things just to get the gears in your brain to turn. I know this is cliche but there are tons of blogs out there worth reading and following. You just have to look for them. The list of things you can read and the paths you can take with it are endless but ultimately what you read will affect your life even in ways you don’t realize.
What you watch can have the same effects as reading. Those reality show, what are you really getting out of them? You are not getting anything worth taking to your future. Aside from a few documentaries and positively inspiring programs I cannot really think of a whole lot of good things to watch on TV. The internet is a plethora of videos. How many epic fail video compilations do you need to watch to look past the temporary laughter and realize you yourself are failing epically at a life that has so much potential? To find the positive and inspiring videos all you have to do is look. Ted Talks is a great place to start. In fact next Wednesday I will be sharing a video I recently watched on Ted Talks. (TED LINK)
I have taken it upon myself to be more structured in my efforts to read more and watch more inspiring videos. I have been more actively reading my followers blogs and other people’s blogs. I read sections of “Notes from the Universe” by Mike Dooley, on a daily basis. I seek out positive memes and a few other things to read each day. As far as videos I don’t do too much with that but I watch one Ted Talks video every day. You should definitely check that site out.
I do ask graciously if you could please share readings, reading materials or videos that inspire you. Please leave them in a comment below I would absolutely like to see what inspires my followers and anyone really! PLEASE SHARE THIS BLOG WITH OTHERS. The more positive and inspiring things we share with one another the bigger our doors of life open up. Have a great day I look forward to seeing what you have to share!

Famous Quote Friday (Homer Rice)
You can motivate by fear, and you can motivate by reward.
But both of these methods are only temporary.
The only lasting thing is self-motivation.
– Homer Rice
Former football star and coach, Homer Rice’s words could not be any more simple. Self motivation is the key to anything astounding in your life. I think we can all relate to all part of Homer’s quote though. Fear is not a very pleasant feeling but that fear is when survival techniques start to kick in. That fear motivation is not going to get you were you want to be in life. It will turn into more of a struggle then a reward. Now to be motivated be reward seems great for sure. Nothing like positive feedback on something you were working on. Rewards give you that motivation to move forward, but the lasting motivation comes from rewarding yourself. You can easily motivate yourself. With determination you can build that can do attitude to conquer those fears. You can build a routine of goal setting and achievement and reward yourself along the way. Your self-motivation will last as long as you want it to last, the only variable is you. You have the power in you to do anything you want but you ultimately need to motivate yourself to get there because any other motivation will always fall short!
Wake UP!
From your laying slumber you arise to sit on your bed with your head above the clouds. No time to concern yourself with reality you see everything in life you are reaching for. It is all up here. In every direction you see so many things you want from your life. Which one do you go after first? No need for shoes as you walk toward the closest one to you on the pillow like clouds. This will hold you over for a farther goal in life you have been reaching for. The beauty up here is as clear as the mirrored reflection of yourself you see every morning, but instead of seeing your face you are seeing every amazing thought that is in your head right now. You have seized this day of glory in the clouds, a vision of perfection in your life. You feel accomplished, and darkness rolls past as it is time to go to sleep once again.
You awake to a blaring alarm clock; it is 5am and time to get ready for work. You have a presentation due that decides the future of your company. You left your clothes in the dryer and you are late. You are forced to attire yourself with the wrinkled cold pants and shirts from the dryer. Made it on time for your presentation and you knock it out of the park. Lunch time comes around and you realize you have no lunch or no cash. Home for dinner your wife is late from work and you both decide to order a pizza. You take down your first class pizza like it was the last one ever made because you did not have lunch. You retire to the couch with your wife to watch some pointless reality show that you know is staged but here you sit like a crack addict waiting for his next razor blade fix. You fall asleep on the couch and your wife lets you just stay there, as it has been a very rough day for both of you.
You awaken at noon. You arrive at the conclusion that you have nowhere to be. You look around the room filled with the sound of infomercials and all you see is empty budget pizza boxes, beer cans and your weed pipes all over the apartment. You get up to go to the bathroom and step into a deconstructed slice of pizza your dog left on the carpet last night. You slip and fall hit your head on the table but there is no one in this one bedroom bachelor pad to help you up. What to do today: maybe look for a job, maybe go food shopping, or maybe just watch reruns of Rosanne on TV all day. Your day of nothing crawls by but somehow it is now midnight and you make it to your bed to fall asleep.
You open your eyes and next to you is the Girl you loved all your life but she never paid any attention to you. She has no idea you exist in this world anymore. Your ghost has taken its place of residence where you wish you could have been all your life. She awakens and you try talking to her and grabbing her but nothing gets through. Your tears fall like humidity that has never reach 100%. She can feel the moisture but turns down the air till you no longer exist once again.
Awake as a full bodied adult in a new world you are completely confused. You take to the bathroom mirror. You splash water on your face and your reflection turns into a pillow cloud of dreams. Full of life’s challenges, with a full heart you proceed to chase what you have envisioned in the mirror when you look at who you are. Every day you wake up in the morning go to the mirror determined to see yourself and find out where you belong. Some nights you sleep peacefully some night your tears put you to sleep, but every time you awake you are better then you were the day before. You take notice to keep going, you take notice that every day you get closer to that silhouette in the mirror that needs an identity.
Perfection does not wake up in the morning and start going your way. You have to decide that. You have to decide what you want out of life, and you are the only one to blame if you don’t go after it. You think that life is easy? Think again, your life is easy because you are not doing anything with it. Same on the reverse side you think your life is hard but you are still not doing anything with it. Wake up in the morning with a smile, go to bed with a smile, and live each day as a mission to find out why the heck you belong in this world. Is it where you are now…are you sure? Take the path less traveled and I guarantee you will find things about yourself you never knew before. You make your own definition of perfection, are you going after all of it, or have you settled? Life is a mystery to be solved, one day at a time. What are you going to wake up for tomorrow morning?
