“P.S. HA! My life is way to awesome to not laugh every time you give up on me and tell me I can’t do it.”

This was a power message. All our life through everything any of us do there will be challenges. You know Adidas’s new campaign? “There will be haters”. They are going to do great because we naturally appeal more to negatives. It is a life change to be fully positive!

I understand what all of you mean, but don’t be compelled to pull out the negatives instead of taking the inspiration from the massage! Negativity is part of our world, I fight it all the time. I fight it to strengthen myself positively.

There was some very important people that doubted me in the past and new people I meet doubt me today. The funny thing is the most recent person that has doubted my goals I simply laughed and said “you don’t know me at all do you”?

This was really a message to say hey don’t let other people talk down your goals in life! No matter what that negativity will be there. Just like our feelings you can not ignore them and think they will go away, you have to deal with them when they happen. I express my gratitude for doubters all the time. Every time I meet one I get stronger. I don’t give up. My life is awesome….. this is some good things from my message if you missed them!

I am sorry that you have misunderstood my message and I know you care about me very much but you have helped me prove a point with your comments about it. People are more likely to respond to something negative then positive. That is the sad truth and getting feed back from people is very difficult if I write something great. But if I write something bad or if I have tons of grammar issues people in general are so quick to point it out. But that is life, people will point out your faults all your life but if you can prove them wrong before they even open there mouth to tell you I think you are doing pretty well. It is not so much proving others wrong it is just personal satisfaction of just saying that you are way ahead of them in life.

I am not trying to put down people that have said something to me, because most of the time people that do comment are the ones that care the most. I wanted to use their care and concern for me as an example of what others will do in a more negative manner.

Mom and Matt, you both are amazing and I understand your concerns but I assure you the only thing I see in my previous post are positives.

A Letter To Those Who Doubt Me

I had a set of GOALS for April Health Month. I met those goals. They were not easy but I did it and in a months time I lost a little over 20lb! Now I have a letter for those that have doubted me on these goals and any of the goals from my past or up coming goals for my future.

To whom may not even care,

You doubted me. Little do you know your doubt sets fire to my motivation and your doubt has no chance of penetrating my fiery force field. I wish you well in your mistake in judgment. My goals stand taller then you will ever reach in your entire life. Next time you reach for something and you just can’t get it, I hope you see me up there plowing over one goal and then the next. If you don’t know me…in fact you don’t know me, if I set a goal go ahead and wait at the finish line. I may be crawling in, begging for mercy but as my eyes open after the weight of numerous challenges I see success and all you see is me proving you wrong. Was it worth it? You bet your sweet ass it was worth it. Every scrap, every shed tear, every push backwards, makes me stronger than anyone can imagine. You give up on me, you say I can’t do it, you speak of me traits you will soon regret. You are all nuts because I actually have nothing to prove to you!

I will never quit, I will always have goals, and with my last breath you will hear me express my gratitude for those of you who doubted me. I have done it, I can do it, and I will do it. Whats next for me? None of your business because I am in a place in life you will never find.

I will build myself to be stronger everyday and I will forever be grateful for those who are part of my life in big or small ways. As for you doubters I hope the simple life suits you well. This world has so much to discover and call me crazy but I am looking for all of it. On my way to discovery I hope to continue to change mt life and the lives of others in a more positive direction all the time.

To you negative doubters, I will waste no more time with you but if you ever get to me expect a tidal wave of positivism and gratitude to wash your negativity back in the deep sea.

Make or Mistake (Variety Friday)

When we try new things, when we challenge ourselves to the limits, we make mistakes. If you go through life so worried about making a mistake you are only short changing your own potential. Let yourself do the things that are hard. Let yourself make the mistakes and fail. Instead of feeling bad about your mistakes learn from them, become stronger from them.

With our health we all make mistakes, we all skip a work out, or eat the wrong thing. We all get injured or fail to meet our health goals on time. That does not meam to give up and stop, it means to get up, get better push and try harder. I have certainly made a few mistakes in my goals for this month but I bring myself right back on track for success and continue to see results!

Meditate to better health

I could give advice but there are far better trained individuals and groups that can really tell you and show you how much meditation can affect your health! Instead I will simply share how meditation has helped me.

What started out as a simple gift of gratitude from a good friend waterfalled into a brand new way of life! I have gone to new places both physically and mentally I have never been before. From a mind that is never without thought to being able to empty my mind of everything for monuments in time.

If I am stressed I can meditate to calm down. If I am sad I can meditate to perk up. I can set my mind to one thought and really feel life’s answers all through my body. You can see how meditation can be healthy right? Some of you may be saying the typical excuse of, “I don’t have time”. Well I am not the first in your life to say that Idea of no time is crap. If you really want something in your life you are going to make it happen and you are going to make time for it to happen.

You can meditate in 5 minutes or several hours. It is all up to you. I am so grateful for meditation coming into my life. It has really made hidden parts of the best of who I am come alive. With my goals of distance, eating better and losing some weight; meditation plays such a healthy role. It is not going to make the pounds disappear but it can make you put the Little Debbie’s down and rethink what you are doing with your life and live healthier.

I do however owe the lose of 15lbs so far to meditation, positivism, gratitude, and hard work of course, but I am not done yet. I heard it takes 21 days to make something routine….it is the 22nd day and I am still going strong on my goals (click here for April goals). This is only one fragment of my life that meditation has benefited it. I owe a lot to meditation period!

Meditation is super easy, take some deep breaths and listen to some really calming music. But seriously look it up try it out.

For April Health Month, I have made goals and I have been sticking to them and it has really shown success. Plainly put I am skinnier and much more positive, if that is even possible for me, to be more positive. Goals are my life and achieving them is what makes me happy. I will never be without a goal in mind, there is always something worth achieving out there!

Try (Variety Friday)

This April Health month started with the idea to try a new challenge. A challenge to eat better, be more active and loss weight. 2 weeks in I can proudly say I am accomplishing these challenges. My move down here started with the idea to start a new career with something completely different. I accomplished that, by now working in an elementary school! I wanted to try and find work over the summer and boy did I ever accomplish that! I will be working on a cruise ship again but this time up in Alaska for the summer. If I never would have tried working on a cruise ship in the first place, I would have never accomplished working on the cruise ship a 2nd time. Its a once in a life time opportunity for me and now I get to do it again!

Great things can happen in your life all you have to do is TRY and you can ACCOMPLISH anything. Have a great weekend everyone.

Positive Meals

How often do you go out to eat and you feel like you need to finish everything but then later you pay it for with a stomach ache or some gassy bowels? It has happened to all of us for sure. The easiest way to avoid this is simply don’t go out to eat, or save your restaurant nights out for special occasions.

The most positive solution for eating healthy is at home where you can plan your meals. When you plan your meals you are not willy nilly grabbing things at the grocery store. You have a list and know exactly what you need. When you shop off your list is when you start buying things that are fast and easy. You start buying junk food. I am not gonna tell you what you should eat, it is different for all of us but what you should do is plan your meals eat more healthy and erase the need to finish everything. You will find that it actually saves time to plan ahead too!

A healthy meal at home is a positive meal for your body and your mind. Eating healthier and taking the time to plan meals you will find yourself feeling a lot better about who you are. I have planned my meals and it is so beneficial because you can control your portion size too! I am about to go shopping again because I am out of food….That is the best part about positively planned meals, you use everything you buy and when you’re at the store you can buy yourself a healthy snack for the days you just want to eat a little more. For instance, right now I really have no food left but I am really hungry, but It is so easy to fight it when there really is nothing in the house. All I have to do is fight my will power to wait until I go shopping!

This April health month is more so about ways to be healthy of course but a healthy body is a positive body. A nourished body is a more alert body, and stronger body. Ultimately It puts you in a more positive mood.

I have made a handful of goals for this month and I am doing quite well with them.https://upwithmarc.com/2015/04/01/im-no-fool-this-april/ I have stayed away from sugary things and I am eating less. Last week I was 20 miles short of my goal of 50 miles biking, walking or kayaking, But this week I did 70 miles to make up for what I missed. For the record I am now 10 pounds down and I still have a half of month to go. The most positive benefit I am getting from this month is building a routine to continue even after month’s end.

A challenge is how a goal starts, the meaning comes when you achieve that goal. The health goals I made to challenge me. Don’t make goals that you will not be challenged by because they will not do anything for you that is meaningful. You want to eat better, make a goal that is tough for you because when you overcome the challenge you will see results. If you want to be more active with your body, set challenging goals to exercise more and your reward is building a routine from accomplishing your goals. That meaningfulness will come when your body starts trimming down and you start feeling better. I am positive you can find some meaningful challenging health goals in your life, all you have to do it START!
