My Cycle

Here is a spiritual discovery I seem to have found within myself a few months ago. As a whole it’s a very inspiring message but if you only read part of it, it may not make sense!

I have fallen upon the rule of the underworld. I have died and now I walk through the depths of hell but I have a small view of the fields of heaven in my thoughts. I walk the corridors of the hidden and lost. I shall find and follow what motivates me in this new life. I have been lying to myself for some time, certain things will never happen upon a double edged sword. When I discover my new direction is when my new journey begins. These chains I will break and challenges I will face shall be my motivation to move forward.

I stand embodied by the day and the rebirth of new life. Current life changes have brought me back to a mind of basic values that have never changed. Old meanings I hold close in the present have lost value. I stand alone in displacement where my regular world no longer makes any sense to me. I seek eyes of new meaning in my life. I transform from the darkness to explore and become reborn.

This is the time to follow my heart. If I fail in this path my deepest self needs will be ignored. It is time to connect with animal and nature. What am I passionate about? Where do I belong? I need to let go to be wild and free in this world and find my place. I will not abandon all that I know and love but I need to step away from the places I frequent and the people I love and explore nature. There is a great connection out there somewhere and I have to find it.

To follow my journey there are many things I must give up, many things I must sacrifice in hopes it guides me to a greater good. I will sacrifice many things in the light of change. The road will be long and uncomfortable but only the challenging roads can get me anywhere worth going. I will fight with my comfort levels but in time I will level out stronger than before. It starts by being a hero to myself and living.

It is very unclear what freedoms will be gained from my journey. Angels will be the guiding light to those freedoms. I must unmask my deepest fears and let them transform into something more beautiful. I have to face my fears but I also need to decide now. I must understand my fears to step upon them with glory.

As the cycle completes and the journey comes to its goal I will ignite all I have learned with the new light of my soul. Maybe I am at home now, I may find a new home in my journey or I may go back home to those I know. Home is where you are comfortable, home is important. I think my journey may be to find where I can call home and sometimes we must travel great distances with both our feet and our minds to discover where we belong. Even if we feel like we don’t belong we need the journey to discover where we do, even if that journey takes us back to where we started because we reenter familiar surroundings with a new heavenly life view.

It is my life at hand, It is your future, It is our destiny, we can never stop until mother nature tells us we have learned enough in our life. Let your tears of sorrow fall back to the salty seas, and capture the tears of joy for they will form diamonds in your future. -UPwithmarc

Ask Yourself the Right Questions

Part of our natural thought process is questioning ourselves. We have thousands of thoughts a day go through our heads and they are all questions. Think about it! You are questioning yourself right now aren’t you? What is on your mind right now? The average person can think about 4 things at one time. Now what are you asking yourself? Are you questioning how you feel? Are you questioning how you are going to finish something? Are you questioning your confidence? The possibilities of your thoughts are endless.

It is natural to ask negative questions and to ask a lot of them without realizing it. Hopefully today we can change that! We ask ourselves questions that obviously coincide with what is happening in our lives. Can I finish this on time? Will I be late? What if I can’t do this? Why can’t I get this person’s attention? Why can’t I find a job? Why can’t I save enough money for this? Why is my relationship falling apart? Why is this person pissing me off? I could keep going but I am sue many of you have experienced similar personal questioning.

Let me go through all those again for you. How can I better use my time? How can I make sure I leave earlier? What can I learn from doing this? How else can I get this person attention? How can I expand my search efforts? How can I budget to save more money? What can I do better to strengthen our relationship? I think this person is having a bad day? There is a positive to every negative question, but we need to train ourselves recognize it constantly.

Start off by paying close attention to your thoughts. When a negative thought comes out just correct yourself. The more you do this the more natural it will become to start asking the right questions to yourself. The more positive questions you put in your head the more hope you are giving yourself for a more fulfilling future.

Take this opportunity to let Anthony Robbins better explain this concept to you.

Your challenge for today is to analyze your thoughts. What kind of questions are you asking yourself? How can you learn from the negative experiences of your day?

Thank you very much. Have a great day and don’t forget to like my new Facebook page.

UPWITHMARC’S FUTURE

Just now, I completed 7 seasons, 178 episodes of Star Trek Next Generation. I must take a break before I continue forward with the Star Trek series. What to do, what to do? I intend to begin learning everything I can to bring https://upwithmarc.com/ into the world of podcasting with the new equipment and software I have purchased. As an added bonus German speaking software is on its way to me now!

Can I bring UP With Marc, podcasting, and a new world of different languages together to share all of the worlds positivism in one place? Can I bring all I have learned and will learn in front of the podium of the world as a motivational speaker? Sounds big, sounds like some great goals to work for! Sounds like YOU need to stick around not only to see how far I can go but I will need all of your help and support to get me there.

Right now the path to discovery is slow and hard. I will continue to be grateful for everyone’s support as we all take the journey to a more positive place UP With Marc.

So Grateful, I love all of you, and thank you!

Positivism In All Traditions

We all have traditions with our family, our friends and our significant others. Traditions that may be carried out during a special occasion or over a holiday. Traditions provide a positive level of comfort in our lives. Traditions give us great experiences to look forward to. Traditions strengthen the bonds we have with one another.

With that being said let me change it up! I am certain that all of us have a tradition that we do not care much for. Right? Something silly our parents or grandparents do. Something silly your spouse makes you do. Traditions are an important part of our lives and I think many of us take for granted the ones that we do not care much for. Not all traditions are positive to each individual but we must not forget who the tradition is most important to.

As humans we commonly  resist doing things that make us uncomfortable. Sometimes those uncomfortable rituals we partake in can have so much more meaning when you are involved and so hurtful when you are not. With many holidays approaching there is going to be many traditions carried out and even new ones forming. Take a moment and think about those traditions you don’t care for……Challenge yourself and approach them with a positive attitude. Don’t pay attention to how you feel but pay attention to how the person you are doing it for feels.  You are going to make them smile, you are going to make them happy. You are sending them positive vibes of acceptance instead of negative resistance. In return you can feel the joy and gratitude from them. Doing things for other people is very satisfying is it not? The feelings of happiness you receive from doing something for someone you love is unmatchable.

The next time you are faced with that traditional dish you don’t care for, EAT IT anyways. The next time that song comes on that your whole family sings, CHIME IN. The next time that traditional game comes out, PLAY IT. Embrace those traditions you don’t enjoy for the sake of those you love and the positivism will be spread through everyone.

I know a few traditions that I don’t totally care much for but this time I choose to approach them with a more positive attitude. What traditions do you have a hard time with? It is time to change that. Choose to look at them with a more positive perspective.

Thank you all so much for your loyal following. I enjoy your support, your likes, your comments, your blogs and your feedback. I hope to build traditions with this blog and I hope to keep it going for a long time. If you want, you can help me with this in 2 easy ways: Sharing this blog with others and also sharing your thoughts with me.  Enjoy the rest of your day, I will see you Friday for Famous Quote Friday!

If Money Did Not Matter

Today’s post is a journey. I hope that you all have the time to take this short journey. It will inspire you, give yourself the time to read on. Now I know some of my posts can be a bit lengthy but the way I see it if you make time to read you make time to succeed! Now who doesn’t want success? If you complete this small journey today I only ask one thing. Tell me one major thing you are working on or working toward in your life. A question to be refined at the end.

When you were a kid growing up, what did you want to be? Be an astronaut, a chef, or even the president. What did you want to do with your life? Scale the tallest mountain, meet someone famous, or even travel the world. How many of your dreams have been fulfilled? One of the main things holding us back from what we desire most is money.

let me introduce you to Alan Watts a philosopher, writer, and speaker(play video below)

What if money did not matter? Your options are limitless, you can be whatever you want to be and do whatever you want to do. Our own human nature and society has groomed us into the idea of earning a living to just simply earn a living. Very few of us go on earning a living doing what we love. Most of us continue doing what we are doing just to continue doing what we are doing. No that is not a typo think about it! Are you in a job just for the money? Do you wish you could be doing something different? Stop wishing and make it happen. This is your life.

This whole concept has been a huge part of big changes in my life and only now has it come into the light for me. I have been a professional graphic designer for over 10 years and all of the sudden I lost my passion for it. I was always looking for that better job with better pay. Aside from design my ultimate goal has always been to become a motivational speaker. I never saw money in it so it got kind of lost inside me. The struggles of life have surfaced it and brought back a beautiful dream. My life path is changing to so many wonderful things I can hardly keep up. People keep asking what my main view point will be as a motivator. I have Ideas of course but I still don’t have a solid answer.I do however have a monetarily free field of vision to take me there to find out.

None of us seem to give ourselves enough credit and that is were our dreams fall short. You have to believe in yourself and you have to believe in the path that takes you to the things you dream about. I refer you to another video of a song I posted awhile ago. I will be standing in the hall of fame and even if it is one person at a time everyone will know my name.

here is the song and post https://upwithmarc.com/?s=hall+of+fame

I can go on for hours about all the new thoughts and things in my life but everything I say and what Alan Watts says in his video is basically FOLLOW YOUR DREAMS! If you put money first in your life you are never going to achieve your goals past looking for more money. You can be who you want to be if you believe in it enough, if you are determined enough. Your life will evolve around your passions. Love your life and do what you want with it.

NOW IT IS YOUR TURN! Post a comment of one thing (or several) you would like to do if money did not matter.

The inspiration for this post was started from Upworthy where I found the video by Alan Watts. What a truly amazing site.

I have also added share buttons on the bottom of my posts. If you like what you read, please share this with your friends.

THANK YOU SO MUCH EVERYONE I am grateful for your following and support. Enjoy the rest of your week.

100th POST

Intellectual: Developed or guided by the knowledge rather than by personal experience.

I don’t want to live with my nose in a big text book drumming up tons of facts. I love reading for sure so don’t get me wrong, but I want to live outside in the real world experiencing and experimenting with success and failure. I don’t need a masters degree to prove anything. I don’t need to be monetarily rich. I certainly don’t want to brain wash you telling you what to do with your life.

I want to share my positive view points with those willing to read or listen. I want to hear everyone’s opinion too! I want to help everyone I can in any way I can. I have lost so much in my life but gained so much more. The success I seek in life now will never just fall on my lap, I will have to work very hard for it. There will be many downs on my path but when I am going up I am like a positive firecracker.

One thing about me that some of you may know. I have a hard time to this day accepting compliments. Or thinking of myself. That being said I want to take this moment to be a little full of myself in asking something from all of you. Now some of you may not know me in person, some of you I have just met, some of you I have known for many years, some of you are very good friends and some of you have known me for 32 years. I want everyone willing, either now or in the near future to leave a comment on this blog post. Not just any comment, a comment about me. Think back as far or close as you want. Think of a time I have helped you with something important, think of a time I have inspired you, hey maybe even a time I changed your life. In as many words as you want tell me about it. For those that don’t know me very well yet, maybe think of a blog or quote I posted that particularly inspired you and tell me about it. If you don’t have anything to say that is alright, stick around because the future holds many more positive things in it and we are going to live up to all of them together. It is really important to me that you comment. If it is something you do not wish to share in public you can always email me instead (upwithmarc@yahoo.com). I am not in any contest or looking for an ego boost I merely want to gather enough positivism to carry me through the next 100 posts.

I am grateful for all of you who share this blogging journey with me and hope you stick around so all of us together can keep making this a bigger positive experience! Have a great week and I look forward to hearing from you.

INSTINCTS

Over thinking is something a lot of us do. Some of the time a better way than over thinking is going with the flow of things in life. Recently I have been taking many risks in my life, taking those chances. The reason is I am just going with my instincts. Opening up many new paths  for myself, bringing light to the unknown be it good or bad. I have discovered so much about myself, others and the world around me in the past year alone. The one thing that remains constant is that things are always changing! New things, bringing back good old things, good things or bad things, challenging things, old friends or new friends. Everything is changing with ourselves as well.  You have to keep going in your life, keep taking chances keep fielding changes. Instincts are not an answer for all of life’s challenges, but the chances you take from the challenges are always a learning experience.

Going with your gut instincts may not seem right at the time but if you put effort towards what you seek you may find that your gut instinct is right! If you don’t go with your instincts you will end up just playing the “What If” game with yourself. There is no gratification with what if!  Going with your instincts can give your mind some rest, it can solve problems and also you can discover something new you love to do!

When was the last time you went with your instincts?  When one of the things you chanced turned out to be good, how much happier were you afterwards? How much better do you feel? When did a chance you took turn out bad? I guarantee you learned something from it! Other people have great ideas how to live our lives but each one of us is unique. Sometimes you have to trust your instincts and go out and challenge the world.

FAMOUS QUOTE FRIDAY

“The true measure of a man is not how he behaves in moments of comfort and convenience but how he stands at times of controversy and challenges.”
-Martin Luther King Jr-

We can easily behave well within our comfort zone. We can keep ourselves collected when we enter a situation we have been in, know, or are prepared for. What matters most is how we stand in the unpredictable times, how we handle new challenges. The confidence and efforts we show in those situations are what really defines the kind of person we are. Make it a point each day to step out of your comfort zone, challenge yourself, or learn something new. Always be prepared and show confidence for what may lie ahead.

3 Positives For Every Negative

Here is a challenge for those that choose to except, and another way for you to become a more positive person. For every negative person in your life find 3 good things about them. For every negative thought in your head think about 3 positive things about that very thing you are thinking about. For every bad day you have think about 3 things that were good about the day. For every negative or bad person you encounter find 3 good things about them. For every mistake you make what are 3 things that did or could come from it. For every bad story you hear on the news hop on the internet and find 3 good ones. For every person that wrongs you find 3 positive things about them.

I could just go on and on but I think you get the idea. It is so simple, is it not? I actually learned this in the short time I was in marketing. I learned so much about how to talk to people. I learned more ways to be and stay positive. I know a ton about goals but in this marketing job I learned so much more. I ended up moving on from marketing and it has just opened myself up to learn even more new things about life, and my life. Never stop learning, never stop reading and never stop listening.

This little trick has really helped me on many occasions. I am certainly not super humanly positive 100% of the time but those spikes when I am presented with negatives I have a variety of positives that linger nearby. When you look for the positives long enough, eventually it grows on you and starts to become natural.

I reached 500 followers today I am so excited. I am so grateful for those of you who read and follow my blog. I get more people that find me every week and I get more excited every week, THANK YOU SO MUCH! Enjoy the rest of the week everyone. I am off to the Field Museum here in Chicago, for the day. What are your 3 positives today?

Joy in Challenges

I know my last post was about challenges and I have certainly had my fair share of challenges in life and right now. I read an article in Success Magazine called “Finding Joy in the Challenges” This article was all about finding fulfillment in Marketing, not necessarily as a profession just as an important entity in any business. As you may know I am in Marketing, but I want to share with you what I took from this article outside of the world of Marketing. We face so many challenges in our life, some we have no choice in the matter, others we do. The ones I speak of today are those challenges where we are given the choice.

My whole life seems to be stacked with challenges. At first I would let them get to me.  But that was strange because I had a never give up attitude from the day I was born. Sure I can do this…I WILL do this. In the past year alone I have overcome so much, so much has changed, so many good challenging things are happening in my life RIGHT NOW! I don’t think I will ever stop talking about it. I mean I was ready to settle down, ready to say this is the Marc that you will see for the rest of your life. Did not even comprehend that I can turn my whole life around again. I say again because at the age of 32 I can think of 4 other times that have turned my life around. This life change I am in the middle of right now is awesome. Fortunately I am writing and blogging and quoting my thoughts as I go now. I have a new light, a new heightened sense of positivism, determination, love and gratitude in my life right now. With all this good in my life still comes those challenges. The word challenge is something I have gotten used to, something that will never go away. But I stand before all with a newer definition to “Challenge Accepted”.  Don’t just find the positives in the challenges, find that spark inside you that tells you that you are doing what you love. Find the joy in your challenges. How is that joy going to grow into the next challenge you face. You cannot just put a smile on your face and say “challenge accepted” you need to put a smile on your heart you need to place that challenge on the joys of your future.

If your life is plain and boring you are not challenging yourself. Everyone has a list, be it written or in your head of what you want to do with your life. But a lot of people play the card that it is too hard, or they are just too lazy to do it. I know we are not all wired the same, but all of us should be able to find satisfaction on the road of challenges to the things we love.

I want to list a few questions from the article that I read that you should try to answer. I changed them a little to pertain to ourselves because this was an article about marketing but I think we can apply these questions to our lives too.

-What do you stand for?

-How do you add value to your life?

-What is your style?

-What makes you awesome?

-How will you stand out?

-How will you change this world?

When you answer these questions ignore the simple answers on the surface and dig deep into the drive within you to find the truest answer. Challenges enlist a certain level of creativity in your lives too. There is no one answer to any challenge. All of us were born with the ability to be creative in our own personal ways. Your creativity can show in the answers to these questions above for sure and it shows in your ever day lives too.

Our lives are not meant to be easy. The only way they are easy is if we are not pursuing what we truly want from life. Not only should you accept the challenges; you should find the joy in every step of the way through them as well.
