What Everyone Else Wants!

I am a few days away from my life’s next big adventure! I am going back to work on a cruise ship again (for 2 months) but this time I will be in Alaska. A place where I have always wanted to go and I get to from an opportunity that was basically put on my lap! As I said in a previous blog I will be limited with time to write and internet to post but I assure you I will be back and I am most likely going to be shifting some of the main focuses of this blog.

It is funny how our thought process works. I am learning through the challenges of life that everything happens for a reason. The most exciting discovery is when those reasons come to light in our minds. At the time my fiancé broke it off with me 3-4 years ago I was ready to settle down and start a family but my life has changed completely, for the better I would like to add! In grained in me is a subtle shy loneliness that I successfully chip away at everyday and my new life, new adventures and new goals unfold. I could time line my whole life, the feelings are so strong but perhaps I will save that for my first book. Yes my first book…one of many goals. My biggest goal of all is to become a motivational speaker.

Fast forward to now I work at a wonderful elementary school as a teacher assistant to students with autism. What an eye opening job. I have had hard jobs before but this one moves its way toward the top of that list, however the rewards from this job sky rocket. Here I am; single, secretly fighting little loneliness spell now and again, I work around a bunch of beautiful married women (inside and out) and I work around wonderful children that just make me want my own ever day. Even though this job has been and will continue to be an amazing opportunity I ask myself through the personal torture why am I setting myself up like this: Working all around others that have everything I want.

Now wait a second, here is the crazy part. As I talk to my new friends, staff and teachers, about my adventures of travel and my life goals, they are envious of me. I realize I want what they have and they want what I have. It is crazy how life works like that. But then I take a step back and realize why life had brought me here. To meet great people of course, and try new things in my life, but the main reason I am here is to finally realize my motivational speaking career starts with these children. I want to inspire children to be all they can be and live a more positively directed life. I want to teach them that there is no benefit to bullying their fellow classmates. Make friends in school not enemies. If you know me at all you know that when I set sight on something, no matter how long it takes, I WILL MAKE IT HAPPEN. Maybe this school year maybe next but I was meant for this. It took me 34 years to figure this out but I have 70 more to make a difference in the lives of all our futures.

I realize that if I was married and had kids 3-4 years ago, there was no chance I would be working on a cruise ship, there was no chance I would have moved down to Florida, very little chance that I would have stepped out of my career as a Design Director to find my passion as a motivational speaker. All I had to do was drop the negative thoughts and listen to what life was telling me. There is great things out there and wonderful people to meet. I will meet the right one for me when I least expect it. I will be successful with my goals and like any roller coaster success story I expect to fall, I expect it to be hard, and I expect to learn a lot.

I walk through the halls of my school and every smile or hi I get, every high five or hug I receive lets me know how many young lives I am impacting already. I know my main focus is with the special need students in my class but I make it a point to connect with new students’ every day. I certainly connect with the teachers as well. The students allow me to be more connected with my goals all the time and the teachers are the ones that are opening doors for me to explore. So yes I was meant to be here at this elementary school. Some teachers are excited for their well deserved summer break and here I am off to Alaska for almost two months and I miss these kids already! I know I am where I am meant to be and I know there is still more exploring to do on my way to where I want to be. The purpose for my Alaska trip is simple, I deserve a break too! It just so happens to be a working break but you can’t beat the location or opportunity.

I am so grateful for all of my family, friends, teachers, and students that have helped me get where I am now. You may not know you have helped but know now! I am grateful for all of my blog followers and new friends from the internet that are alongside supporting my journey through life. There are big things coming in my life and I am going after all of it!

Money does not matter

When I stopped worring about money is when I started to live a richer life!

– started a new attitude on life
– started a new way to look at myself
– started a blog
– started a new career goal to be a motivational speaker
– work at an elementary school now
– moved to Florida
– worked in the Southern Caribbean on a cruise ship
– this summer I will be working on a cruise ship in Canada/Alaska

These are only some of things that have happened. If you read this far I want to note this as well….

In this time frame:
– I make $5 less an hour
– I have paid off all my credit card debt!!!
– traveled to more places in this time frame then I have ever traveled my whole life.

The list goes on.

I am a positive person. I am an Eagle Scout. I  am a restaurant waiter. I am a deli clerk. I am a Design Director. I am a cake decorator. I am social media coordinater. I am an events marketer. I am a Para Professional for students with autism. I work very well with children of all ages. I am a writer. I am a Motivational Speaker. The skills continue on much more.

Money did not get me all of this; motivation, heart, networking, and a positive attitude got me what I have and were I am today.

Love my life, love your life, love life!

Goals and Adventures.

This month I stuck to my reading goals and towards the end I was doing more than 20 pages a day! I found the beginning and end of 3 great books and I have started another one today to keep it going.

“Black Hole Focus” by Isaiah Hankel

“Everything Happens For A Reason” by Mira Kirshenbaum

“The Carpenter” by Jon Gordon

“More Notes from the Universe” by Mike Dooley (just a book of quotes but still great)

I have learned so much from reading but it seems that my education went far beyond the written words. I was inspired in many ways but most importantly to finally narrow down what I want to do as a motivational speaker. I want to speak to children and teens about a more positive lifestyle and the ever-growing subject of bullying. I have full confidence that I will get where I want to be and I am ready for the challenges that will arise on my way there.

Over the summer I hope to have time to start writing presentations and presenting them to the school district I work for right now. One small step of many.

I do have some sad news for those that do gratefully follow me regularly. June through August I have a lot of adventures going on in my life and my time to write from the heart will not be as wide open as it usually is. One of the major things I am doing is working on a cruise ship in Alaska. I have always wanted to go there and now is my chance. I will be working a lot and when I am not working naturally I will be enjoying the wonders of the Pacific Ocean, Canada and Alaska.

I will be posting when I can, Maybe sharing other people’s things on Facebook and stories here and there as well. I hope I do not lose many of you in my absence but I WILL BE BACK. Every day is an adventure I am just going to have a few months of them in a row. I will return with lots of inspiration and tons of pictures I am sure. If you wish to friend me on Facebook feel free to, to see my pictures.

Have a great weekend and remember I am not gone for good and I will post when I can. Thank you so much for all of your support on this journey.

Please feel free to connect with me HERE

And be sure to like and share my FACEBOOK blog page as well, to see more positive things in the coming months.

Be a Paragon!

A week ago I started a book about how everything happens for a reason. A couple days ago I talked to a good friend about self love. Yesterday I receive one of the best compliments EVER! My new friend called me a paragon. The Irony is I was already going to write about these things anyways!

In “Everything Happens For A Reason” by Mira Kirshenbaum I learned that once you realize the reason things happen, you have to live within those reasons and write a new story for yourself. You need to stop living in the stories of who you once were. You need to love your life, you need to love the changes and the challenges in your life. Most importantly you need to love yourself, heart and soul. Conquer your fears and stand tall, always.

The title of my new life story is “Be a Paragon”. I want to strive for perfection in the eyes of those I inspire and I want to set examples for those who follow me in the future to come. I want to eat and breathe positivism. I want to be the example of positivism. I will tackle as many challenges as are needed to get where I want to be. As long as I am alive I will be striving for whatever great goal is next in my life.

What is your story? Do you like that story? Maybe it is time to change that story. In order to change the story you are still living now you have to close the book and open up a brand new one. Sometimes a complete start over of your life may be in order. The last question is, how badly do you really want those positive changes in your life and are you willing to do what it takes to reach these goals in your new life story?

I am a paragon, I am the next big thing, I am amazing. I am not conceded but I will tell myself these things till the end of my days! I am worth it to me and you should be worth it to you. Be a Paragon.

Meme Monday (Greater Things)

greater things

This is something we need to tell ourselves every time we get up in the morning or every time we are challenged or fail! I fully believe I am meant for greater things and I am closer to discovering that as each new day comes alive for me.

I am very proud of myself. I finished “Black Hole Focus by Isaiah Hankel PhD, I will tell you more about it Wednesday. It was a 230 page book that I finished in 10 days. I am not so much proud of the amount of pages I have read but more so that I am building the routine to read everyday just like last month I was building the routine to be more active and eat better. This month I will learn more and more the more I read. I am only in my 2nd week and I feel completely inspired off of just one book! Reading fills the mind and warms the heart. Everyone should read something regularly. By reading you can also discover that you really are meant for greater things in life!

Variety Friday (Michelangelo)

“The greatest danger for most of us is not that our aim is too high and we miss it, but that it is too low and we reach it.”
– michelangelo di lodovico buonarroti simoni

Aim high! You aim low you already know you are going to make it, but you won’t ever discover your true potential. Don’t just make your life simple, make it challenging and more interesting. Make goals in life that seem impossible. When you get closer to achieving your goals you realize how possible it really is. Aim high on your goals. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt that you can do it. If you can set your mind to victory you can achieve anything.

I always have goals in my life and when I achieve one I make another one. I had no idea I would be were I am in life right now, but I made goals, set my mind to it and in only a few years times I have a book worth of adventures about where life has taken me. It is time for me to reach higher. It is always time to reach higher and that is what I am doing everyday.

Have a great weekend everyone.

You WANT and You WILL!

Black-Hole-Focus-e1394957371768

I have something here you may want to do for yourselves! The First book I am reading for my May reading goals is called “Black Hole Focus”, by Isaiah Hankel. It is a very motivating book about changing your life around to give your life a greater purpose. It is also a very easy read to start my routine of reading regularly. Isaiah has talked about many things so far in the amount that I have read and I want to share one of the things he wants us as readers to do. He wants us to make lists; everything we want to own, everything we want to do and everything we want to be. He wants us to write down “BIG” things not daily to do lists.

I am going to share the lists I made with you and I am going to change one word on it to make the point of these lists even more powerful. I am going to change all of the “wants” to “WILL”. If you make these lists yourself, the idea is to not just have a list in your head or on your computer. Print these lists out and put them somewhere you will see them every day:

MY LISTS (lists in process)

Everything I WILL own:
– A house
– A new car more fitted to my lifestyle now
– A wave runner
– A multipurpose building fit for speakers, weddings, or other social events

Everything I WILL do:
– Go to Alaska for the summer (I had to write it)
– Go to Hawaii, Australia, and India
– Get married, and have a kid(s)
– Motivational speaking at a kids level
– Motivational speaking to scouts
– Motivational speaking to adults
– Speak in front of 10,000+
– Write 2 books (I already have my 2nd one but I need to write the first one. 😉 )
– Learn Spanish and German
– Continue to make a name for myself in the general public

Everything I WILL be:
– A successful motivational speaker
– A leader and example of a more positive lifestyle
– A spiritual energy worker
– A inspirational writer
– An avid traveler
– A successful author
– A geological and archeological surveyor by hobby

I feel inspired already just writing this stuff down. Now I will print it out and leave it places I see every day. This does not have to be a list set in stone. It could change as you change but you need to put your initial goals and dreams on paper and let the motivational process take place. I will also be shrinking down my list to wallet size and carrying them around with me. I just wrote my list on the fly and will make changes to it but I also noticed how small my want list is, and how much bigger my will do list is. I have been swaying away from a materialistic lifestyle and focusing more on achievements! I have also been focusing less on money and more on living life! These are things that Ultra Positivism has already done for me and I feel more and more how a positive personality is building a home in my heart, mind and life!

I love this life and I am grateful for all of it, and I am most grateful for all of the support from all of you readers in helping me get there, and helping me spread the word.

A Letter To Those Who Doubt Me

I had a set of GOALS for April Health Month. I met those goals. They were not easy but I did it and in a months time I lost a little over 20lb! Now I have a letter for those that have doubted me on these goals and any of the goals from my past or up coming goals for my future.

To whom may not even care,

You doubted me. Little do you know your doubt sets fire to my motivation and your doubt has no chance of penetrating my fiery force field. I wish you well in your mistake in judgment. My goals stand taller then you will ever reach in your entire life. Next time you reach for something and you just can’t get it, I hope you see me up there plowing over one goal and then the next. If you don’t know me…in fact you don’t know me, if I set a goal go ahead and wait at the finish line. I may be crawling in, begging for mercy but as my eyes open after the weight of numerous challenges I see success and all you see is me proving you wrong. Was it worth it? You bet your sweet ass it was worth it. Every scrap, every shed tear, every push backwards, makes me stronger than anyone can imagine. You give up on me, you say I can’t do it, you speak of me traits you will soon regret. You are all nuts because I actually have nothing to prove to you!

I will never quit, I will always have goals, and with my last breath you will hear me express my gratitude for those of you who doubted me. I have done it, I can do it, and I will do it. Whats next for me? None of your business because I am in a place in life you will never find.

I will build myself to be stronger everyday and I will forever be grateful for those who are part of my life in big or small ways. As for you doubters I hope the simple life suits you well. This world has so much to discover and call me crazy but I am looking for all of it. On my way to discovery I hope to continue to change mt life and the lives of others in a more positive direction all the time.

To you negative doubters, I will waste no more time with you but if you ever get to me expect a tidal wave of positivism and gratitude to wash your negativity back in the deep sea.

Much Gratitude,
UPwithMarc

P.S. HA! My life is way to awesome to not laugh every time you give up on me and tell me I can’t do it.

This will be my last post for the month of April. I have new goals for May so stick around.

Make or Mistake (Variety Friday)

large

When we try new things, when we challenge ourselves to the limits, we make mistakes. If you go through life so worried about making a mistake you are only short changing your own potential. Let yourself do the things that are hard. Let yourself make the mistakes and fail. Instead of feeling bad about your mistakes learn from them, become stronger from them.

With our health we all make mistakes, we all skip a work out, or eat the wrong thing. We all get injured or fail to meet our health goals on time. That does not meam to give up and stop, it means to get up, get better push and try harder. I have certainly made a few mistakes in my goals for this month but I bring myself right back on track for success and continue to see results!

Love your goals, love your health, love your life. Have a great weekend.

Please share your GOALS, CHALLENGES, and STORIES right here or on my Facebook page, and be sure to share my posts with your friends.
