Read More In May

Reading-quotes-Write-to-be-understood-speak-to-be-heard-read-to-grow...

I have been challenging myself with writing. I have been speaking out with a more positive lifestyle. Through my journey I have also been inspired to read more as well. It all connects. You read so that you are inspired to write, you speak what you wrote to inspire others and you network with others for more things to read.

This month for me is all about reading! I will set a goal to read at least 20 pages every night for the month of May! Does not sound like much, but that is good because it is my goal! I encourage you, if you are not an avid reader to set some goals to read more. If you read a lot already, set some goals to read even more. Reading is the start of your inspiration, it feeds your heart and mind with new knowledge and great ideas of your own.

With my no sugar, eat better, exercise more month, at an end, I would say it was a success and I lost 22lbs. The really great part is I got myself into better eating and exercising habits for my future as well. I suspect the weight to be coming off still but not as quickly, now I have some reading to do everyday!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Buddha, Famous Quote Friday

“Your work is to discover your work and then with all your heart to give yourself to it.

Buddha

An introduction of meditated silence can introduce Gautama Buddha into our lives. You don’t have to believe him and you don’t have to follow him, right now you just have to read the words upon this page and believe whatever it is that your mind is telling you at this moment. You were not brought to this earth to do bad to others or yourself. Through human evolution we hope to continue to discover the nuances of our existence. When it is your time to leave this world can you fill your head with gratitude? Can you say your life was full of amazing things? Your work from the moment you are born is to discover yourself, your surroundings and your work. Embrace and love every discovery you make and every new thing you see. When you find your life’s passion give every ounce of your being to it. No matter if you were meant to start a family, be a corporate genius, travel the world, or simply be a representative for a more positive future for all; we all have a job to do. Discover what it is you were meant to pursue and go after it till your last breath.

My Friend Jake M. found this song for me. I think it is very fitting to take 5 minutes  and play this song. While listening think about what your work is, and think about what you are going to do to go after it!

Have a great weekend everyone. Thank you so much for your followings and shares.

“You are never at the end, only the beginning of something new.”
– Marc Meyer

Pablo Neruda FQF

“Laughter is the language of the soul.”
– Pablo Neruda

Laughter is not only the language of the soul it is also a universal expression for positive amusement. When you laugh everyone knows what that means. Your soul can be regarded as a separate entity to your body, derived of thoughts, feelings and actions. Your soul is a positive part of your body.  No one has to learn to laugh it is something we are born with. The reason Pablo is saying, laughter is the language of the soul, is because we all have a positive soul. We all have a soul that is strengthened by laughter. We all have the positivism in us, it is the life we live and the choices we make that bring that positivism out.

Today, what positive things are you thinking about. What are the positive things you are doing today?

Laughter is the positive cure for almost anything. Make sure you have laughter in your life today and every day.

INSTINCTS

Over thinking is something a lot of us do. Some of the time a better way than over thinking is going with the flow of things in life. Recently I have been taking many risks in my life, taking those chances. The reason is I am just going with my instincts. Opening up many new paths  for myself, bringing light to the unknown be it good or bad. I have discovered so much about myself, others and the world around me in the past year alone. The one thing that remains constant is that things are always changing! New things, bringing back good old things, good things or bad things, challenging things, old friends or new friends. Everything is changing with ourselves as well.  You have to keep going in your life, keep taking chances keep fielding changes. Instincts are not an answer for all of life’s challenges, but the chances you take from the challenges are always a learning experience.

Going with your gut instincts may not seem right at the time but if you put effort towards what you seek you may find that your gut instinct is right! If you don’t go with your instincts you will end up just playing the “What If” game with yourself. There is no gratification with what if!  Going with your instincts can give your mind some rest, it can solve problems and also you can discover something new you love to do!

When was the last time you went with your instincts?  When one of the things you chanced turned out to be good, how much happier were you afterwards? How much better do you feel? When did a chance you took turn out bad? I guarantee you learned something from it! Other people have great ideas how to live our lives but each one of us is unique. Sometimes you have to trust your instincts and go out and challenge the world.

Tony Robbins FQF

“The higher your energy level, the more efficient your body. The more efficient your body, the better you feel and the more you will use your talent to produce outstanding results.”
Tony Robbins

Tony Robbins is a Life Coach and Motivational Speaker. Jim Rohn was Tony’s Mentor. Tony began his career promoting speech events for Jim, who is one of the greatest speakers of all time. Tony Robbins seems to be stepping up to be one of the most influence speakers of our time. Some words that Tony took away from Jim Rohn who has passed away recently: “Happiness and success in life are not the result of what we have, but rather of how we live. What we do with the things we have makes the biggest difference in the quality of life.” Talking about this quote is a whole other post! 😛

Both Tony and Jim are big influences to me. So before I get side tracked with all this awesomeness here we go with the man of the day, Tony Robbins.

When you eat better and exercise, you increase your energy levels. You physically feel better, therefore you are more productive with great things. This works the same way with a positive mind. The more you think positive the better you will feel. When you feel better or happier the easier it will be to combat the new negatives and challenges that come into your life. If you want any worthwhile results in your life you need to take care of both your body and your mind. YOU NEED TO TAKE CARE OF YOU! If you love your body and yourself, over time more great things will certainly happen. You can begin to find what you are really good at and keep getting better. If you already know what you are awesome at, it is an unwritten rule that there is always room for improvement. When you keep moving forward you may even amaze yourself.

Try to amaze yourself this weekend.

My friend Christie showed me this. This remix is brilliant. For those of us who grew up with Mr. Rogers, you can really appreciate this even more.
